Enova’s technology department encompasses IT, Development and QA. We write, stage, test and deploy applications using a variety of tools to create the best solutions to our technical problems.
Some of our tools include AFS, Apache, Asterisk, JavaScript, LiteSpeed, Nginx, PostgreSQL, Ruby, RoR and Xen. We’ve also used C, Java, MySQL, Perl, PHP, Python and SQLite. These lists aren’t intended to be exhaustive, but rather to give you an idea of the breadth of technologies we have used, evaluated and even made minor contributions to. We have plans to open-source a number of our internal projects and are always looking for opportunities to open-source new components.
To fit in at Enova, you have to find satisfaction in bringing projects to completion using some of the tools we’ve listed above. You have to take pride in the best solution, not the elegant solution, and evaluate technologies on their merits. But most importantly, you have to be comfortable being a part of a team of equals.
