Strategy & Operations Associate
Reports to: Director of Operations, Canada and Australia
Responsibilities:
- Manage initiatives that focus on driving new projects, processes improvements and customer experience
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate with external partners and lead internal development teams such that projects are executed in a timely manner
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, prioritize and execute projects, make tradeoffs, balance business needs vs. technical constraints, ensure quality, and drive deployments
- Drive quality assurance projects and build infrastructure to ensure continued compliance
- Run ad hoc projects that are often data intensive and require comfort with numbers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MBA from top tier university preferred, or top tier undergraduate degree and relevant experience
- Undergraduates must have minimum 3 years of professional experience; MBA graduates must have minimum 1-2 years professional experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High energy, team player, creative thinker, and strategic influencer
- Demonstrated experience in working with broad cross-functional teams
- Maturity, good judgment, negotiation skills, influence skills, analytical skills, leadership skills, and hands-on implementation skills
Differentiating Factors:
- Proficiency with SQL, advanced Excel modeling, and handling data
- Strong understanding of Internet, including delivering financial services through the Internet
