Reports to:Director of Development

Position Summary:

We are looking for a passionate, highly talented Senior Developer to complement our growing development team.  Ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor, has led a team of developers, and wants to continue in this dual role.

Candidate will join a team of developers designing and building major portions of complex web-based applications.  Within 3-6 months, the candidate will take on projects as a hands-on charged with ensuring their success.  This person enjoys coding, feels strongly about how things should be done, and is skilled at persuading others.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will be fluent in Ruby and proficient with Ruby on Rails
• The ideal candidate will be fluent in Ruby and proficient with Ruby on Rails
• Extensive experience developing web applications in Object-Oriented Perl, Phython, or Java can be substituted as long as there is a strong desire to work in Ruby
• Experience in JavaScript and CSS is desirable as well as AJAX
• A deep understanding of relational databases and SQL is a must
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL is a big plus
• Experience with Linux/Unix is a must
• Technical leadership experience is highly desired
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience
